Best video game to scratch that Red Rising itch?

Lo Howlers,

In addition to the normal itches I have in my taint, I have an itch to find a game that lets me live out my Red Rising fantasy in any way possible.

Previously people have mentioned Ragnarok Online because the Dancer class uses a weapon that resembles a Razor. Others have suggested games like No Mans Sky for the space element.

What games would you consider to be a worthy outlet for pixies like myself who want to be a Peerless play pretend?

Top Comment: Any of the Red Dead Redemption games or Assassin’s Creed! You’ll get the feel of the Institute. Either are about roaming where you like, killing and gaining power. GTA has that too but the ones above are in historical worlds so they feel much more like fantasy worlds.

[Build Help] 4k Video Editing PC (RED Epic Editing)

Hi everyone, I have been researching for a while now and finally decided to come to you all for help.

I currently do vfx and motion graphics full time and I am editing on a PC I built about 4 years ago. Recently my company has been shooting/ working with clients that use 4k-6k footage, mainly RED/ R3D files and my current pc cant handle it.

Here are my current specs: Mobo: Asus M4A89GTD Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.40 ghz RAM: 16gb Gfx Card: Evga GTX 550Ti

I know that I will definitely need to purchase some SSD drives to boot from but other than that I am really new to building PCs.

I also really enjoy playing games on my pc as well so going straight workstation video cards isnt what I really really want to do.

My question is should I continue to upgrade my current PC and if so how? Or should I start from scratch?

The cheaper option is better but I also need to be able to edit 4k RED footage.

Kept it at 2000, pretty much the same as the other guys here, I cheaped out on some items to keep the 6 core cpu and nice 780 card.

3x 2tb hard drives to create a raid for fast write speeds.

YSK you can avoid paying for YT red and listen to videos in the background on mobile by using firefox app and switching to desktop version of the site

After seeing the top comment on the latest video, I did it and now I'm watching some of red's other videos.

Since red talks so fast, it you watch it at 0.5x speed she honestly sounds like shes absolutely hammered and I dunno about you but I think its damn funny.

Downloading redGIF videos?

Anyone know how to download redGIF videos embedded in reddit? or on redGIFS itself? Seems the right click>save video option has been removed in the last week?

Top Comment: This post is one of the top google results for "redgif download", so i will duplicate my comment from another post for visibility. As of 7th Aug 2024 the following method has worked for me: Copy your redgif's name, e.g. luxuriousaquagourami. Open dev tools (F12), open Network tab. Refresh the page if there's nothing. Inside Filter textbox type m4s luxuriousaquagourami (use your gif name here, obviously). You should see several entries. I have five, for example. They all seem to be identical, so pick any. Double click it to save. Or maybe right click and open in new tab and then save if double click didn't work in your browser. Change extension from m4s to mp4. It should work and have sound. This worked for me in Chromium based browser. Works on ifr page too, there you can skip the first step and simply filter by m4s.
